Storytime: Turkey Tales

Here are a few favorite Turkey Tales we have been reading at our house:
Thanksgiving is Here! by Diane Goode A Family prepares for the big feast. Cute illustrations.
A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman A sing-songy rhyme story about a town that does not have a turkey for Thanksgiving. It tells of how they come about luring one and how it ends up being smarter than they are. I love this story! It also lends itself well to "turkey crafting" along with the story. When I taught school the students did Turkey collages- at home using anything they wanted- and brought themb back to school to share. This story goes a long with that idea. Adorable language and illustrations!

Perfect for introducing the origin of Thanksgiving to the little turkeys in your family. A quick read with cute illustrations.

What turkey tales are you reading at your house?
