It rolls up (like the top photo) and then you unroll it and there you go-cars all tucked away, and a road for them to drive on...
Each car has its own little "parking space". Now when we go places, we don't have to count how many cars go in the store/church/house/trip/office/waiting room- and how many come out/home. We just make sure each car is nesting in its own little cozie parking space. ☻
And while we are out and about, the boys have a little mini road to drive those cars on....
Let me just say that this was a hit at our house and we haven't even taken it to the store/church/ house/trip/office/waiting room yet. And I only made one...so I must make some more. Anyone interested in a little tutorial/how to?? If so... I'll post one soon! This was just too much fun to make and so easy!
I would like a tutorial...these would be great for restaurant outings also...I was just thinking how I need to add cars to the diaper bag (I can't stand having to dig around to find them though!!!) So cute!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea! I love that it opens to a road.
ReplyDeletethat's really cute. I really should start sewing more.
ReplyDeleteI love it! and would love a tutorial, but I really think you should take your fabulous ideas and sell them on etsy - people would pay for these car cozies!
ReplyDeleteSo clever! I'm tired of these cars rattling around in my purse and scratching up my sunglasses! and the built in road - genius! Cute parking spot photo :)
ReplyDeleteI total want to know how!! We have a car addict, and one on the way {I am sure he'll follow in his older brothers footsteps} I was thinking, this would also work for things like littles pet shops, and polly pockets for the girls?? It might take a little tweaking.
ReplyDeleteThis idea is crazy good!!! I know what my boy cousin is getting for Christmas this year!! Thanks so much! I am flying to FL next week and it would be so much easier to have their gifts done! Saves me having to mail things at Christmas time!
ReplyDeleteWe SO need a few of these in our house! My two boys are car obsessed these days! I'd love a tutorial, please :)
ReplyDeleteMe, me, me, I want a tutorial! We have a couple hundred cars hidden all over the house, but we are constantly losing them on our outings. Ingenious idea and the road is just a great touch.
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile!!! Seriously, when your life calms down (you know, when your kids are in college :) you need to get a website, or open a craft store and sell all of these homemade creations of yours. You'd end up a millionaire!
ReplyDeleteNeed Tutorial! I've made the crayon ones before, but I love the car cozie!! My son would love this!!!!!! Great Idea, Way to go!
ReplyDeleteOk, a tutorial is a nice idea, but let's be honest, I can't sew and I am a crafting disaster. Can I just pay you to make one, or two?
ReplyDeletethank you for your nice comments- yes when I get time I can make a few for that lovely etsy shop I have that is currently empty so if you want to buy one that is an option. I will also post a tutorial soon for your own personal use. :) Just need the baby to sleep some more first....:)
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable. It is so hard to find cute things to make for boys. I have hundreds of girl projects bookmarked for that girl I might have someday, but very little for the three little boys I've already been blessed with.
ReplyDeleteNow that is an amazing idea. I love that you added the road. My boys would love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous idea! I have a 4-year-old who would especially like this.
ReplyDeletewow great idea!! im dying for a tutorial!!!
