While on vacation a few weeks ago, I decided my kids needed travel neck pillows for the ride home. I had one and it was quite comfortable. I found a pattern on pinterest, but I was too lazy to use it, so I made up my own.
The big difference between mine and the ones I made for my kids, is that I made the back part narrower than mine because they were using these in their car seats. I traced the shape of mine on to some newspaper, and cut it out- adding about 1/4 inch-1/2 inch all the way around for a seam allowance. And like I said, I cut the back part narrower- probably by at least a 1/2-1 inch. I also did not stuff them as much as mine was stuffed. The nice thing about this pillow is that it does not need to be perfect to be functional!
And what do you know -- it worked! They used them and I sure hope it made their ride more comfortable.
(Fabric is from a new line from Riley Blake called Peak Hour. It is really cute!
