3 Ingredient Vanilla Ice Cream
2 cups half and half- we used fat free one day to cut calories- which is a good idea and we did not notice a difference at all when we used regular half and half- which has double the calories.
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz) we used the fat free variety
1 1/2-2 tsp. REAL vanilla I used a little more than 1 1/2 tsp. and a little less than 2 tsp.
You don't need an ice cream maker for this, but you will have to be more patient. If you have an ice cream maker- like the Cuisinart one pictured below, mix the ingredients together in a bowl, and pour the mixture into the ice cream maker. Turn it on and let it go until it is thick- about an hour or so.
If you don't have an ice cream maker, use an electric hand mixer and beat on high until soft peaks form-about 10 minutes.
NEXT- pour the ice cream into a container that you can put in the freezer. If you used an ice cream maker, put it in the freezer for an hour or two if you like hard ice cream, or less if you want it really soft. If you use the hand mixer method, put it in the freezer ( a bread pan works well to put it in) and freeze if for at least 8 hours before eating.
The ice cream should keep in the freezer for at least 2 weeks.
We LOVED this ice cream! I really love that I know exactly what is in it. I really may never buy homemade vanilla ice cream again! Delicious!

Thanks for reading! Happy Summer!
I'll have to give it a try! I also have that Cuisinart from Costco and use it at least once a week (usually twice!). It's so awesome. But my batches only ever take about 25 minutes at the most. I also love when they have vanilla beans at Costco (10 for $10). They make a really awesome flavor. I'm always looking for more ice cream recipes, so keep them coming!
