Each child gets an apron and a pin. They bring this back each time, and get a new pin to add to their apron. They also get a kit {pictured below} for whatever the project is. In March, it was a race car. In April, it is a bird feeder that they get to paint. The workshops are for kids ages 5 and up. However, we had our 3 year old participate and it wasn't a problem. Of course there were two adults to help at all times.
The kids were so involved in their project. They were able to use a hammer all by themselves, along with wood glue. They absolutely loved building their own cars.
Here is what they looked like when they were done building. Next they were given stickers to add to the car.
My children loved this so much! My 5 year old has been asking me everyday if it is April yet. Because in April, we get to go back to the Home Depot Kids Workshop!
If you have a Home Depot in your area, check it out! It is a lot of fun for the entire family!
{Home Depot does not even know I wrote this post. This is 100% my opinions, no incentive of any kind.}
