Featured on Bob Vila { the guy fromThis Old House}

I just discovered a very cool feature on Bob Vila's website. This guy has been around a lot longer than any blog or blogger. I remember watching This Old House on PBS growing up. I found that he has a post on DIY Kids Furniture and he featured and linked our play kitchen made from a nightstand back in 2010.

There are a lot of play kitchens out there....it was pretty neat to have a DIY celebrity notice ours! Thanks Bob Vila, or can I call you Bob?

Featured on PBS website

Today one of my original Halloween crafts is featured on the PBS parents website.

If is a fun one! Enjoy!

Quiltstory Feature + Robot Bibs

Have you heard of Quiltstory? It is an adorable blog created by two sisters, Heather and Megan. A few months ago, they contacted me about featuring my Mr. Roboto Quilt. And although there are quilters out there who are much more "skilled" than I am, and much more creative and talented, they asked to feature mine. (Although  my inspiration including this quilt is all due to Amy from Diary of a Quilter. :) )

You can read the story and see the quilt again, here.  And because I LOVED this Mr. Roboto fabric, I used every last scrap of it (except for a few kits I am still putting together-which I really need to finish) to make these bibs a few months ago. My big growing boy was in need of more baby bibs.

Happy Weekend!

Make sure you check out all the beautiful quilts on Quiltstory.

Now I think I'll try to actually do some sewing this weekend--- I could use a little "down time." :)

Featured and a Give-a-way

Shut the front door! My Little Gems  made TCB that is Today's Creative Blog! And it turns out all you have to do to be on TCB, is offer Kim chocolate. That's it! I really didn't need to have anything creative on here at all. I'm totally kidding of course.
But since chocolate always sounds so good- and this blog made it into the big leagues- (ha ha)-
I am going to give-a-way some of my favorite chocolates (and Kim from TCB's favorite)  to you!

The winner of this give-a-way will receive one pound of See's candy- the best. the yummiest. my mouth is watering right now just typing this.

All you have to do is leave a comment. OH- and be a follower or a reader-via- google reader. That's it.
Hope you win!

On Tip Junkie

Thanks to whoever it was that submitted my items to Tip Junkie.  :) Two of myValentine's items from last year are featured there today ☻ I told Laurie is must have been one of my readers- so thanks-whoever you are.  I love surprises!  If you noticed I have been absent from this here blog lately. My husband's work schedule has drastically changed, and there have been some things here at home that need my attention-too many things in fact. I have a new fun craft planned and will post it soon.☻ Just being a mommy who knows her family comes first. ☻Thanks for all your support and kind words!!
Love, Sharla
