I made a "Hey Girl" poster....for all you pinners

We have been laughing a lot at some fun pins...especially ones featuring Ryan and the "Hey Girl..."
So here is a fun one to show your husband. Maybe he'll rub your shoulders while you pin. That pinning is a lot of work you know!
Thanks for reading!

Pinterest Finds: Funny things that make me laugh

Are you on Pinterest yet? Do you need an invite? Email me (contact link) and I'll hook you up.
If you want to follow me- click on the link on the right and that will hook you up.

Sometimes I just need to laugh. And I'm too lazy to find re-runs of Seinfeld or The Office. Enter Pinterest and my Laugh board. I'm cracking up right now. And I want to thank those people who put funny things on the internet for me to laugh at. So I thought I'd share some with you. (I copied and pasted so there are no links- but you can find all of them on my board.)

Let's just say, I can relate to these. And that is why they crack me up! What are you finding on pinterest? I'd love to follow you if you have some goodies! Have a fun pinnin' weekend!

A little more humor

Kind of like my last post- the sign thing- this one cracked me up. Kami at No Biggie posted this and I needed to laugh today so I am posting it too.
Plus I love redbox. And really need to see 500 Days of Summer. Thanks Kami!

Where I Live

I took this photo yesterday. It was about 70 degrees. I always laugh when I see signs like this, because almost all of the time, there is no ice. There is no snow.  Maybe one day out of 365- actually 2 days in the past 4 years there was snow on the ground- and it melted within an hour.  But I'm from Utah. And although I miss snowboarding, and the fresh white snow for the holidays,  I don't miss driving in the snow at all. ☻

Sorry if you are in the midst of "Spring Snow" right now....enjoy it for what it is.

My kids have never built a snowman. My kids have only seen snow on the mountain tops. Maybe they'll just grow-up swimming and playing tennis and golf. Maybe someday we'll live where it rains most of the year.
So for now, I'll enjoy my brown desert and sunshine- even if it turns into over 100 degrees for most of the year-in a few months.

So if you live in a cold wet place right now, just remember Spring is around the corner- and guess what- you can go outside all summer long!! (We can't where I live...)

***FAVORITE THINGS give-a-way for my readers and followers starts on MONDAY- woot! woot! Just a little fun and a spring gift for you for being so nice. ***

Because I have a sense of humor

I try not to take myself too seriously. And I know this is mostly a craft blog...and we shall return to that shortly. (I have about a dozen 1/2 finished projects in the works...)
But because I am a mom, and most days don't go as planned, I thought I would share a few things that have made me laugh lately.

The other night I took  friend out for her birthday- we both needed some time out of our house without children, and we did a little shopping. We were at Old Navy and saw these t-shirts for all of 97 cents.

How could we pass it up? And yes, my husband thought it was very funny. (Anyway it is appropriate-as I have 3 little boys... but I think it will just be pajamas. I got some CUTE p.j. pants for 3.97 too. Love you Old Navy and your clearance!)

And if you have been following me for a while, you know I like comics. So here are a few funny ones just for you moms:

And in case you are forgetting to laugh at yourself and your life- which is easy to do - when things are CrAzY....here is a great reminder for all of us:

And now I will go back to cleaning my very cluttered kitchen at 11:30 at night... :)
Have a Great Weekend...and remember to laugh!

Storytime: Election Style

Here are a few books we have been reading lately- that are appropriate for this time of year. Duck for President by Doreen Cronin and Caldecott Honoree Betsy Lewin, will put a smile on your face and your kids will love it too. It is a great read.

Another book we have read lately, My Teacher for President, is another great read! These books are fun reads to teach the basics of what an election is to a pre-school or elementary school- aged child, while putting a light spin on the elections for adults. For a fun activity, you could have them make their own election campagin posters.

Happy Elections and make sure to get out there and VOTE.

Trick or Treating- and Politics

My friend just emailed me this- so maybe you have already seen it. I find it hilarious, and I'm sure I am revealing how I feel politically-which I try not to do -on this blog....anyway, not that we will ever be rich or make over 250K because we won't but I am so not in favor of that plan/idea/proposal. You can live the life you choose by the choices you make and be responsible for every single one of them and the consequences or rewards.....I like my freedom thank you very much ....there. I said it. No more politics here.

Don't Buy Stuff You Cannot Afford

In case you haven't been listening to the news and are still dreaming of a mortgage with 0% down....here is a really funny SNL clip. Maybe we all need to wake up a bit and realize how America got into this mess (poor choices on our part in borrowing $ and poor choices on the lenders part for lending it) and because of THIS. (no offense- we are guilty of some debt too- consequently... a) we just rent for now, b) we get our insurance to buy our cars-not really-but we have paid cash for our cars- once due to a wreck c) we haven't gone to Disneyland yet even though I really really really really really want to.... d) we don't live next door to the Jones' so there is no one to keep up with e) I clip coupons and shop sales almost entirely..... so maybe someday all my dreams will come true....maybe if I vote for Pedro.....ha ha ha.. ok that was from Napoleon Dynamite if you didn't know). So what do you do to save money at your house?

we saw it, we loved it

If you missed the SNL skit w/ Sara Palin and Hilary Clinton, you can watch it here- (it is unavailable on Utube.) How could Tina Fey not play Sara Palin- they look like twins if you ask me...it was very funny!

silly

I did this thing twice. Once I was 1984 and then I was 1986. Silly little quiz- don't think it is right although I am probably somewhat "cheesy" at times and I am a total 80's girl- can't help it- I grew up in the 80's -- but really... colorful at night? I don't think so.

You Belong in 1984

Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

I needed a good laugh today

So if you haven't already discovered this hilarious blog- my cousin recently informed me on- have a look. If you RLDS2 or live in the great state of UT you will hopefully not be offended and get the humor. Be warned: if you like to blog about your pregnancy, your perfect marriage, or the Twilight Books, or you love scrapbooking, crafts, or sell stuff on esty, you might not think it is funny- but I think it is hilarious and I can't believe I just found out about this! She is totally making fun of me and everyone else and it is seriously, so hilarious! A total parody on me, and for that matter, several 1000 others... check out "seriously, so blessed"

My Life Lately

So I don't want to write about all the hard days I have had lately with no husband around. So here is a comic that about sums it up!

Disney's Desperate Housewives...

I love to read the comics- and sometimes I save them. This was a goody that came to me by email. Lucky for me- my husband helps around the house, helps take care of the kids, helps cook the meals, and does some of the cleaning, folds the laundry, always thinks I look good no matter what, and sometimes I just wish I was asleep and he can be the "mom and wife" for a day. I married a good man!!
