Finally I got these finished! It's getting ready for preschool time....and catching up on some projects from a while ago.... Here are the rest of the color song poem printables. {note: I don't know the original source of these songs; but I know they have been around for decades. I have had a typed up copy of the lyrics in my files for the past 20 years. My children made crayon shaped books with these songs in kindergarten...so there are many different copies out there. I just made these up so I would have a cute copy to display and sing with my preschoolers, as we focus on a different color each month.} I made these in a 8.5 by11 format. You should be able to print them onto white card stock from your home computer, and laminate them. If you would like a smaller format, or if you have problems downloading them, PLEASE leave me a comment with contact information, or email me at{little gems crafts} at{gmail} dot com and I'll try to get you what you need. To print, see links below photo. UPDATE: I get lots of comments on this post but unfortunately I do not have time to respond to them anymore. PLEASE click the links below. They do work. You may have to open it up in a different browser. I use explorer to open the links and they work just fine. Hope that helps!

Free Printable: Teacher Thank you In-n-Out Gift Card
I saw a cute idea on pinterest, but there was no link to a printable for it. So I made up my own version.
To thank the teachers this year, we are giving them In-n-Out Hamburger gift cards- with this cute little card I made in photoshop.
I made it so you can cut off the blog link and for personal use only reminder. Those are just reminders. ☺☺If you use it or share it, please direct people to this little blog-www.allmylittlegems.com
TO PRINT: click on the photo and right click to "save picture as", and save it on your hard drive. This was made in a 3 inch by 5 inch format. When printing select size 3 by 5 or 4 by 6. You should be able to print multiples on one page. Attach gift card with twine or ribbon.
Thanks for reading! Remember to thank those teachers as school ends!

Preschool Color Songs- Free Printables {Part One}
Here is a little gift for my readers&followers. I have been making these color song posters for my preschool, finally sharing the first group with you.
These should print on an 8 by 11 sheet of cardstock. These aren't perfect- as in I did not measure the margins or anything, but they still work just fine! That's how I do things sometimes... You can laminate them, and sing the song together using these as posters.
You could even put them in a binder, and let your kids use a "magic pointer" to learn their colors and sing the songs.
Enjoy! {the rest of teh colors will come later} If you have any problems with these links, please let me know. thanks

4 Quotes to Pin or Print {just for fun}
It has been quite the week around here. I actually damaged my eye from crying. I didn't know you could do that. It kind of hurts. oops. So I have been doing a lot of reading, thinking, and praying, and finding some fun quotes. Quotes are good medicine for the soul I think.
I love quotes. I could wallpaper my house with them.{There is a long string of my faves - if you scroll down all the way on this blog.} Here are a few others....Click on them to save in a jpeg or pin... they should all be in a 8 by 10 format.
Hope you are enjoying the beginning of summer!

Free Printable: Thank Thee Lord {lyrics from Scotty McCreery's song-Dirty Dishes}
I'll be honest- I have not had a very easy time being a mom lately.
It has been really rough, and I have not been counting my blessings. SO... I made a little reminder today of how the things that may seem like problems in our lives, are really blessings. This is just for fun- since these things often don't appear as blessings, but as annoyances. I took the lyrics from Scotty McCreery's song- Dirty Dishes. If you have not heard the song, it is about a prayer a mother offers, thanking the Lord for the noisy children, slammin' doors, the dirty dishes, etc. She goes on to explain that noisy children mean happy kids; slammin' doors means we have a warm and loving home, etc. You can listen to a sample of the song on his website, or amazon.
Sorry if you don't like country music- but I'm wierd like that-- I like it.
If you want to download one of these -
USE the LINK below the color you want to get the best copy.
It is in an 8 by10 format. I'm still learning to make printables so excuse the imperfections.
Hopefully- I at least spelled all the words correctly- ha ha.

Storytime: Apple Star Story- The Little Red House + { Visuals}
**Deseret Book CD give-a-way ends on Sunday.** Scroll to post below to enter!
I have had several requests for my visuals for this story. Sorry it has taken me so long--but here are the visuals. The story follows below. I use this in preschool, and used it all the way up to second grade. The best part is opening up a real apple at the end of the story, and showing the children the star that is inside (made by the seeds).
You can click on the photos of the visuals, save them to your computer, print them on card stock, and cut them apart to use with the story. I glued the words that went w/ the picture on the back of each piece so that is was easy for me to tell the story as I went.
The Little Red House (The Apple Star Story)
Once upon a time, there was a little boy who was tired of all his toys and tired of all his play. "What shall I do?", he asked his mother. And his mother, who always knew beautiful things for little boys to do said, "You shall go on a journey and find a little red house with no doors and no windows and a star inside." This really made the little boy wonder. Usually his mother had good ideas, but he thought that this one was very strange. "Which way shall I go?" he asked his mother. "I don't know where to find a little red house with no doors and no window. "Go down the lane past the farmer's house and over the hill," said his mother, "and then hurry back as soon as you can and tell me all about your journey."
So the little boy put on his cap and his jacket and started out. He had not gone very far down the lane when he came to a merry little girl dancing in the sunshine. Her cheeks were like pink blooms' petals and she was singing like a robin. "Do you know where I shall find a little red house with no doors and no windows and a star inside?" asked the little boy. The girl laughed, "Ask my father, the farmer," she said. "Perhaps he knows."
So the little boy went on until he came to the great brown barn where the farmer kept barrels of fat potatoes and baskets of yellow squashes and golden pumpkins. The farmer himself stood in the doorway looking out over the green pastures and yellow grain fields. "Do you know where I shall find a little red house with no doors and no windows and a star inside?" asked the little boy of the farmer. The farmer laughed too. "I lived a great many years and I never saw one." he chuckled, " but ask Granny who lives at the foot of the hill. She knows how to make molasses, taffy, popcorn balls, and red mittens! Perhaps she can direct you."
So the little boy went on farther still, until he came to the Granny, sitting in her pretty garden of herbs and marigolds. She was wrinkled as a walnut and as smiling as the sunshine. "Please, Dear Granny," said the little boy. "Where shall I find a little red house with no doors and no windows and a star inside?" Granny was knitting a red mitten, and when she heard the little boy's question, she laughed so cheerily that the wool ball rolled off her lap and down the little pebbly path. "I should like to find that little house myself," she chuckled. "I would be warm when the frosty night comes and the starlight would by prettier than a candle. But ask the wind who blows about so much and listens at all the chimneys. Perhaps the wind can direct you."
So the little boy took off his cap and tipped it politely to the Granny and went on up the hill rather sorrowfully. He wondered if his mother, who usually knew almost everything, had perhaps made a mistake. The wind was coming down the hill as the little boy climbed up. As they met, the wind turned about and went along, singing beside the little boy. It whistled in his ear, and pushed him and dropped a pretty leaf into his hand. "I wonder," thought the little boy, after they had gone along together for awhile, "if the wind could help me find a little red house with no doors and no windows and a star inside." The wind cannot speak in our words, but it went singing ahead of the little boy until it came to an orchard. There it climbed up in the apple tree and shook the branches. When the little boy caught up, there at his feet lay a great rosy apple.
The little boy picked up the apple. It was as much as his two hands could hold. It was red as the sun had been able to paint it, and the thick brown stem stood up as straight as a chimney, and it had no doors and no windows. Was there a star inside?
The little boy called to the wind, "Thank you," and the wind whistled back, "You're welcome." Then the little boy gave the apple to his mother. His mother took a knife (at this point, start cutting an apple crosswise) and cut the apple through the center. Oh, how wonderful! There inside the apple, lay a star holding brown seeds.
"It is too wonderful to eat without looking at the star, isn't it?" the little boy said to his mother. "Yes indeed," answered his mother.
(show the children the inside of the apple- the seeds make a star)

Dinosaur Activities for Preschoolers and Young Children
We had a fun week of Dinosaur Activities! Here are just a few things we did.
We made dinosaur feet using foam sheets and stickers, and pipe cleaners. (note: washable markers and foam sheets don't mix.)
We had so much fun stomping around to We Are The Dinosaurs by Laurie Berkner.
You have got to see these cute dinosaur tales! I have to make these- my kids would love them! Next year we'll add the tails to the mix- so cute! (photo from Running with Scissors)
We used toy dinosaurs to make dinosaur fossils from playdough. We pressed their feet into the playdough.
When we were done, it looked like a fossil! (The kids took the playdough home for fun later.)
Here are some of the dinosaur books we read:
(sorry the pictures are not the clearest- if you can't read the author/title- please let me know!)
We also made a fun T-Rex Dinosaur Puppet. I made the blackline for this. (for personal use only- click on it; open in new tab, save on your computer, and print in 8 by 11 format )
Here is one of my own little dinosaurs- asleep. I found his hat at the dollar store- and I really wish I would have picked up more of them! I'll be on the lookout for these- if you see them somewhere- please let me know. :)
Have Fun!

Free Valentine's Printables {Subway Art and others}
There are lots of cute Valentine Printables out there- so in the name of DIY- I created my own version on Subway Valentine Art using Photoshop. I know- I jumped on the free printable bandwagon. :)
If you like it- you can have it for FREE. CLICK here- and download it to your computer. Print it in any size you like- I did an 8 x10, and frame! I just printed mine on cardstock, but you could print it on photo paper too- which would probably look a bit nicer. :) You could print it smaller and use it for a card too- why not?
I made postcards, and 5x7 cards on cardstock. I used an ink pad to distress the edges. And that was it.
HERE is my cute version of a Valentine card your kids can make- for dad, grandparents, teachers, etc.
HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE,and HERE are other cute versions of Valentine Printable Art. And there are many more out there! So you are sure to find a version just for you, or why not- DIY- and make your own?
Let me know if you have any problems downloading it- or with any of the other links on here. :)
Thanks for reading- enjoy!
