Feature Friday: Blog Swap with Sumo's Sweet Stuff

Well finally... I get to feature Summer from Sumo's Sweet Stuff! I think I have had this scheduled and cancelled before, and she is in high demand when it comes to being featured or swapping! Well- it is no wonder- she has some fabulously sweet stuff on her blog- and I'm not just talking about all the delicious desserts and treats she has....so take a look and see :)

Hello everyone!

I'm so excited to be blog swapping with Sharla today! Isn't she fantastic???

I'm Sumo, from Sumo's Sweet Stuff!

Sumo's Sweet Stuff

My real name is Summer, but my husband nicknamed me Sumo when we were dating. (Should I be offended?) Now he's got all of my family, as well as lots of our friends, calling me Sumo. I think Aunt Sumo sounds pretty great, don't you? I live in Utah with my husband, and our two beautiful daughters - Reece & Remi!

Growing up, I never used to be all that domestic or crafty, so I think no one is more surprised than my mom at how I've ended up where I am today! I started Sumo's Sweet Stuff last May as a place to keep some of my crafting projects so that my personal blog wasn't overrun with them. Somehow, that developed into a place to host giveaways, share tutorials, share recipes, and feature fellow bloggers' ideas and blogs! I also use my blog to promote my etsy shop, so if you're ever in the market for some baby girl accessories, come on over! Every Monday is Market Yourself Monday, where you can link up your latest projects, and visit other blogs to get some inspiration!
Sumo Sweet Stuff

Here's a little peek at some of the things you can find on my blog:

You can find something every day of the week at Sumo's Sweet Stuff:

Market Yourself Monday
Tutorial Tuesday
Mouth-Watering Wednesday
Things to Try Thursday
Feature Friday
Showcase Saturday
Sponsor Sunday

I also am involved in a joint blogging venture -
Win, Lose or Blog. If you aren't following already, you should get on over there and do so! We have a lot of great sponsors, and not all of the prizes donated are going to the contestants - they are also going to people who comment! Plus it's just nice to cheer for those lovely ladies. We're also starting to do some giveaways, so what's not to love? Season 2 is underway, which means you better get over there and get involved!

Coming up is The Creative Chick Parade September 13th-17th! Go here to find out all of the details and see how you can get involved! I'll be hosting lots of fun giveaways during that week on my blog, so come on over!

Thanks again for having me! I hope to see you all over at Sumo's Sweet Stuff soon!

Doesn't she have some fun things? And all in one place! Everyday you can find something new too! I love the Win Lose or Blog site too! Take a look there also. Thanks Summer! I love what you have to offer to the blog world!

Feature Friday: Alison from Oopsey Daisy

I am so excited to feature Alison from Oopsey Daisy today! She has an adorable blog with darling projects....and since she was a 1st grade teacher once, and so was I... I feel a "crafty teacher" connection...:) Here she is....

I am so excited to be a guest today on Sharla's amazing blog!!  Sharla's projects always inspire me, and I love that she shares so many ideas for mom's of little boys!  I have been a long-time follower of My Little Gems!

I am Alison, the crazy lady behind Oopsey Daisy.  Once upon a time, I was a first grade teacher.  Now I am a stay-at-home Mom, and I love to make things for the people I love.  This is where I find my inspiration:
I am lucky to be married to a wonderful man who lets me go craft-crazy!  And my 18-month-old Little Man inspires a lot of creativity.  He keeps me insanely busy so I relish any time he's sleeping.  Naptime and bedtime are craft time at my house.

I make lots of messes, pull out lots of stitches, and "Oopsey Daisy" is the name of my game! Here is just a snippet of what you might find on my blog:

Quiet book ideas like this Mr. Potato Head

Fun and festive recipes like these red, white, and blue strawberries (Perfect to celebrate America all month long!)

EASY sewing projects like this denim ruffled table runner

Fun learning activities for kids, like this Old McDonald barn and animals

Simple decor projects like these number placemats

Free printable activities like this Chicka Chicka Boom Boom file folder game (I try to offer a freebie every Friday!)

Fun birthday party ideas like this Cowboy Birthday Party

Did you enjoy your own personal tour?  I hope so!  Oh man, that was fun!  Sharla, thanks a bunch for letting me skip over to your blog for a day.  I hope you will join me for more Oopsey Daisy fun.  Every day is an adventure!  Come by and say hello!

Make sure to check out Oopsey Daisy for lots of amazing and fun projects! Thanks Alison!

Feature Friday: with Making the World Cuter

Hi Everyone!

I'm Tiffany, you can call me Tiff.
I live in an itty bitty small town in Oregon with my hubby hottie of a man, Chad...
...and these three beautiful, funny kids who make me happier than anything, with one more little fella coming this fall! Wow, lucky me!
I hope you'll come join me at Making the World Cuter;
Here's a little glimpse of what goes on, I am pretty consistent, but I will admit I take a break to snuggle my kids once in awhile and will miss a day. Or like right now while I'm on vacation visiting my mom in Portland and can't seem to get any time on a computer during the fun filled days.
  • Monday-Making the World Cuter Mondays-a linky party for you to show off all the cute things you have made in the past week
  • Tuesday-Toot Toot Tuesdays-Where I share a new, usually on the cheap, tutorial to make something crafty and fun.
  • Wednesday-WooHoo Wednesdays-Sometimes we'll have giveaways, sometimes a yummy recipe, sometimes a bonus crafty something.
  • Thursday-Three things Thursdays-Just a day to share three things that have been going on, or talking about my three "things" or whatever.
  • Friday-Friendly Friday-Your looking at it! Swapping with the fun and cute blogs all over the place and having a blast making new friends! :)
I always have something going on over there, here are a couple little "tastes;"

This is a little easy project that is self explanatory (but I have the step by step tutorial), and would be great to make in patriotic colors for your upcoming Independence day celebration- fun felt napkin rings.Or how about whipping up some yummy S'more cupcakes this weekend and letting your kids (and you) get all sticky and gooey and completely happy?
Thanks so much Sharla for having me! Love your blog, your projects and everything you do to make the world so much dang cuter!

Make sure to check out Making the World Cuter- it is one of my favorites- love the title! And I love that Tiff has something fun going on just about everyday!
And if you would like to be featured, or do a swap, please email me at little gems crafts (no spaces) {at} g mail {dot} com.

Happy Weekend!!

Blog Swap with Crystal's Craft Spot

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to blog swap with My Little Gems today. I just love her blog and great craft ideas.

I am Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot. Its my little spot to share my current craft projects, tutorials, recipes, and ideas I want to use in the future. I started my blog because I didn't want to overload our family blog with my new creations. I try to post something new almost everyday and I enjoy a variety of crafts. It is my way to relax and take a break from a busy day. Here's a little more about me: I've been married for 5 1/2 years to the greatest guy ever.
I am a stay at home mom of two adorable little girls (4 and almost 2). They keep me very busy. When they are awake we spend our time playing, learning, making messes, and occasionally cleaning.

I teach my daughter preschool at home and we post our fun activities and crafts on our preschool blog.
I love to read, watch Lost, and movies
I love Blogs! I love looking at others for crafty inspiration, I love staying in touch with old friends and making new friends (I show up as the Harris family if I comment or follow your blog-sorry for any confusion)

Here are some of my favorite projects you will find on my blog:

My bedroom furniture

Placemat Pillow

Come by Crystal's Craft Spot anytime for more crafts and tutorial. Thanks again for letting me stop by. Its been a lot of fun!

Thanks Crystal. Crystal has been a long time reader of My Little Gems, so it has been fun to get to know her through blogging. Make sure to stop by her blog and have a look at her fun projects.
