Time for CHOCOLATE!

It's that time of year again! What time you ask?? Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs- that's right folks, I'm talking about the one-pop-in-your-mouth-chocolate-candy-that -I -just-can't-stop-eating! If you read this blog regularly, you can obviously tell I have a sweet tooth :)

I have had TWO bags of Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs in the freezer for a year now- yes one year!! I have not opened either bag....until today. I opened a bag- and I was doomed. 1/2 of the bag is gone. (If you are wondering, 5 of these candies is one point- if you are Weight Watcher:))

This stuff shouldn't be messed with. seriously folks, if you are dieting- stay away!! But since I'm very pregnant and already huge-what damage can I do? ha ha..... My love affair with Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs continues..... and I will stock up on these before Easter is over- add a few bags to the freezer- just in case the need for chocolate comes up....I know Easter isn't for a few months...but....

What Easter Candy do you love?

I was just wondering last night how well a bag of hershey's kisses would freeze, since they are all on sale after Valentine's. How well did your Cadbury eggs freeze? Still taste ok, I take it? :)

Those are my favorite!! I don't buy them, because I just eat them all day long. It is a great idea to store them for food storage purposes, though. I alway's buy candy after the holiday on clearance and stash it in the freezer. Never know when you might need it :).

My roomate in college loved those things too! Only 1 point?!?! That's really not that bad - if you could only eat 5 I guess :)

I'm a lover of Robin Eggs and I successfully returned from my grocery shopping trip last night without any Easter candy - hooray!!!

Michie-
Freezing chocolate: When you freeze the Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs, some of the candy coding comes off in pieces- in fact most of it does. But still tasty :) We freeze all chocolate- Hershey's Kisses come out just fine. I recommend putting them in a freezer zip-lock bag. I just read somewhere the chocolate chips oxidize a little when frozen. So it is best to keep them at room temp. But I always freeze them and think they bake and taste just fine :) Keeping them in the freezer keeps my mouth away from them better-which is why I freeze chocolate;)

I've been known to buy a bag of these for each member of the family so they won't eat mine.

That's pretty much all the kids want in their baskets is Cadbury Mini Easter Eggs.

Definitely, a favorite!!!

Hey, congrats on your third boy! That's so fun that you get another buddy for the other two. :)

I LOVE cadbury eggs, too. In fact, I often stock up on them and was so excited when a year ago for Christmas they came out with the little red and green cadbury balls - and disappointed I couldn't find them this year. I'll have to stock up this Easter, as well!
