F-A-M-I-L-Y Decoupage Letters

I love Decoupage! The best part is that if you decide you don't like it later on, you can just decoupage over it :) I took over a month to purchase these letters- buying them one at a time with a 40% or 50 % off coupon-I know silly-but I'm trying to save $ right now and support my crafting habits at the same time. :) The total cost was less than $8 for the letters. (I did have everything else on hand already.) I wanted them to be different sizes, so I did my best to find similar looking letters -of different sizes. Of course, since I'm using up my stash of stuff, I did not purchase any new paper for them or embellishments, just used stuff I already had. The "letter I" I just bought a large wooded star for, painted it to look like the rest, and glued it on the "I" after decoupage.
And so another one of my decorating/crafting obsessions is decoupage, words, and wooden letters :)

So cute! I did this a little while back and everyone who comes in my home comments on them.

Have you heard of the Wood Connection in Salt Lake (actually, Murray)? I just went there yesterday and they have tons of fun wood to decorate. I got a few wood blocks to paint/decorate and decoupage for Sam to play with. And a wooden toy gun. I'm excited to get working on them!

Please give her my blog and ask her to send me an invite to hers. I'd love to catch up with her. Also, I think she lives in Lehi too.

Putting this on my list to make! This is such a cool idea. I've wanted something like this, but the ones I found were too expensive
