Cookie Candy

COOKIE CANDY ABOVE.....and BELOW....what was left of the Easter Candy stash...

Here is a great Halloween- or anytime- treat. You will need three things: a cake mix-we used chocolate, a 15 oz. can of pumpkin (not the pie stuff the plain stuff) and leftover CANDY of your choice. If you are like us at all, you freeze your candy from holidays. We literally keep it all year or longer. We had no chocolate chips, so we made these with candy and boy was it fun!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Unwrap all your candy. Any kind of candy will work- with chocolate. We used leftover Easter candy (Cadbury eggs, Dove, Rolo, Reeses, etc) we had in the freezer. It is fun to do a mix of candy. The only thing was the peanut butter candies spread out a bit too much when baked. In a large bowl combine cake mix, can of pumpkin, and candy. Mix up and drop in spoonfuls onto a sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Watch carefully. Let cool. (hot candy can burn your mouth) Enjoy!

Great twist on a great recipe. James actually requested these cookies today - altough we've only used chocolate chips.
