Decoupage Blocks

I love Modge Podge! I think the first time I used modge podge I was in the 4th grade. It had its day in the 80's and I made tons of silly things with it. Well it has come back- and in a much better way. I love these blocks! These are so fun and there is so much you can do with them. Very simple too. All you need is some wooden blocks - you can get a pack of 3 one and a half inch blocks for about 99 cents at your craft store, scrapbook paper, a paper cutter, paint, and modge podge. Paint the blocks first. Let dry. Cut the paper out. I roughly rounded the corners with some scissors. Apply modge podge and paper. Let dry. Display! I think I am in love with these blocks and I plan to make more and use them for everything! When it comes to Decoupage, the possiblities are endless! Happy Decoupage!

What a great way to use paper scraps. Where are you displaying them?

Last Halloween I made some of these in a scrapbook group - we did 3 3" blocks, each with a letter spelling "boo", a picture on one side, and Halloween characters on another. We used ribbons and brads on the layers of paper and they turned out cute. I liked what someone else said to make some for Christmas gifts. Yours turned out cute! such fun paper :)
