It's Groundhog Day!

Well it is Groundhog Day! We made a little craft to help celebrate and we have been reading a few stories too.
This is our favorite story about Groundhog Day. I only have a few, but this one if my favorite.

We used a cardboard roll from toilet paper or paper towels, (you could also use a paper cup and cut a hole in the bottom), some markers, a Popsicle stick and some brown card stock to make a little groundhog that pops out of his hole. I did this with both of my young ones, and even the baby loved playing peek-a-boo with it. We are also going to go outside later and look at our shadows!
Happy Groundhog Day! Let's hope winter ends soon and spring is on its way:)

What a great idea!!! I'm going to go to this with my boys right now!! Hey, I accidentally erased your blog address from my blog sidebar when I was redoing it. Will you send it to me again? Thanks. Hope you're feeling well!

Did you know that Groundhog Day is my favorite holiday? I was thinking about that craft this morning and we are just getting ready to do it since Hayden just woke up.
