Perspective

Sometimes I think craft blogs are totally SILLY. Seriously, who is sitting home all day making stuff?
I certainly am not. I squeeze it in every chance I get, but  I have three little ones that take most of my time and attention. And I love those crazy little boys more than anything!

I DO have some super cute things to show you, and I am obsessed with decorating and redecorating my house. and I know I have a few things to fix up on here...sorry. I'll get to it when I get to it. :)

But this week has given me so much more perspective on my life. I read about this sweet family, who I happen to know, and their tragic loss. If you read it, you will want to make sure you have plenty of tissues, because I am sure you will cry and cry and cry, and rethink your life. I did. I am still crying, and praying for this little family.
My heart breaks for them.
I also am pregnant with my 4th, and have 3 children the same ages at theirs. I can't imagine the heartache they are going through at this time.
They share my faith, which gives me so much hope and provides me with so many answers.
But it is still a difficult time.
If you find yourself wanting to help, and able to do so, there is a fund set up: The Wendy Kimball Mack Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo location.

I'm going to hug my kids and husband a little tighter, a little more often, and let the projects and the cleaning go.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!!

Here is a picture of one of my sweet boys...:) Just because. I love being a mom.

I, too, knew Wendy. (Her dad was my husband's bishop years ago.) It is so devastating to see a young beautiful mother die so suddenly. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family continually. Thanks for posting this!

So heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for their loss, our prayers go out to them. What a reminder to treasure every minute we have with one another.

You were right about the tissues--I am still crying thinking about it--you are SO right about perspective and what is TRULY important in life!! Wendy's story is absolutely heartbreaking. What would we do without the gospel in our lives to offer peace and understanding in times likes these?
