Banana Boat Smores

When I was younger, we made "banana boats" in our backyard, in a fire pit.
These have always been a favorite of mine. My kids love these too!
Here is a little twist on these- making them into "banana boat smores."
**Please excuse the poor photos. I can't seem to get a good photo of this**
Banana Boat Smores
Bananas
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
mini marshmallows
graham cracker crumbs (I use a small food chopper to make the graham crackers into crumbs)
foil (to wrap bananas in to bake)
Redi-Whip (optional)
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
While the banana is in the peel, slice the middle 3/4ths of the top part lengthwise.
In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and chocolate chips. Stuff this mixture in the bananas where you have cut them open.
Next add the marshmallows, stuffing into the sides of the bananas.
Wrap the stuffed banana in tin foil. (I usually skip this but they turn out better if you don't skip it.)
Place bananas on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until chocolate chips and marshmallows are almost melted.
To serve, scoop out of the peel into a bowl and top with Redi-whip. (or ice cream, or whatever yummy thing you desire....)

Enjoy!
